STEM Enrichment: 3D Printing
Students in the New Lothrop Jr./Sr. High School are expanding the scope of their experiences to take advantage of opportunities offered by using 3D printers. We are trying to make the following printers available to our students.
Eighth grade students were introduced to the NewMatter MOD-T printer during Science Class on Friday, August 25th. They observed how the printer works while printing a keychain while Mr. Delemeester explained the basic operational steps involved in 3D printing. The students were then shown how to creat an account in Tinkercad to use learn to use computer aided design (CAD) to create their own objects to print.
If you are interested in supporting our students please consider volunteering to help assist or chaperone students during the school day, or by dontaing to the DonorsChoose 3D Printer Fundraising Project. Contact Mr. Delemeester at 638-5054 extension 2253 if you are interested in volunteering.
